About Allen Company Painting & Decorating

About Aaron Aaron K. Allen, founder of Allen Company Painting & Decorating, is one of a select few New Mexico craftsmen who is both licensed as a decorative painting contractor and holds a degree in art. Although mostly self-taught in his methods, Aaron began his apprenticeship under the one-on-one tutorage of a Master Decorative Painter. With an instructor skilled in many of the old world finishes and decorative painting techniques, Aaron has gained the ability to duplicate these finishes using both time-honored trade secrets and also by using the most modern computer graphics systems. From all-new work to exact restorations, his education and training allow for perfection in every job.

Aaron has done decorative painting in Germany and the United States, including working in some of America’s finest houses of worship. His decorating work in homes, businesses, restaurants, churches and temples has included hanging luxury wall linens, painting of furnishings, woodwork, pillars, banisters and altars, and decorative painting and gilding on arched ceilings, coffered ceilings, pillars and wall panels. Aaron has also installed over three miles of gold leaf pinstriping.

Some of the most beautiful work accomplished by Aaron remains unphotographed. This is by request of the managing clergy of various religious buildings, although he maintains scaled mock-ups, durable patterns and other records of these projects.

An ever-growing library of historic reference books includes styles including Chinese, Japanese, Native American, Islamic, Medieval, Baroque, Rococo, Victorian, Elizabethan, Federal, Early American, Empirical, Southern Plantation, Art Deco and many others. Although skilled in all these styles and more, Aaron’s greatest love is in Rococo and Victorian styles.

Our work is accelerated by our staff of well-trained employees. Always working under the direct supervision of Aaron Allen, assistant painters are constantly exposed to excellence, and therefore are never content with mediocrity. Our tools, equipment, vehicles and uniforms all reflect our commitment to world-class service.

The finest results cannot be accomplished with inferior products. Therefore, unless specifically required by a customer, Allen Company uses only high quality, name brand products such as Sherwin-Williams Paints, Gusto Manetti Gold Leaf and 3M masking and graphics products. By beginning with the end in mind, Allen Company consistently satisfies our customer’s desires.

The Allen Company first became established in 1990 in Northern California. In 2000, Aaron and his wife, Jennifer, moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico. They now reside and raise their family in nearby Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
